🏀 4th–8th Grade Travel Basketball Program
Boys & Girls
Tryouts & Player Selection
-
Players must register for tryouts on the MLBA website.
-
After two tryout sessions, independent evaluators select players for each grade level.
-
Families are notified by email if their child is selected, with instructions to confirm roster spot and pay the league fee.
Team Structure
-
Travel teams will compete in games and tournaments across the South Hills area.
-
One Division I team (top players at tryouts) will be selected for each grade 5–8.
-
If enough players are available, a Division II team may also be formed at each grade level.
-
For 4th grade, two teams may be formed with talent divided as equally as possible.
-
Travel coaches are selected by the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners after tryouts.
Commitment
-
Season runs November–March.
-
Expect 2–3 practices per week plus games.

Travel basketball requires a high level of commitment; players with major schedule conflicts should consider other MLBA programs.
